Scuola Leonardo Gap Year

September is getting closer and closer: the end of summer can be sad for many but the students of the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci can be happy!

Why? Our "Gap Year" begins on September 13th! This program is a 360-degree training experience that combines the study of the language with complete and varied cultural training. Our students can spend 34 weeks (from September 13th to May 6th, including 2 weeks of Christmas Holiday when no courses are held) learning Italian with the help of our experienced teachers in Florence, Milan, Rome, and Turin.

Studying Italian in Italy is an experience not to be missed. The "Gap year" is ideal for those looking for a complete course that allows them to learn or expand their knowledge of the Italian language and the culture and history of our beautiful country.

How to learn a foreign language?

Studying a foreign language is a wonderful experience but sometimes the process is long, to really learn a language it is essential to live it in everyday life: the more students are in contact with a foreign language, the more likely they are to speak fluently or significantly increase their ability to speak.

By living all day exposed to the language, they will have much more opportunity to memorize new words and put their knowledge into practice directly, in class, or even in everyday life.

Why choose the "Gap Year" program?

From the first day of lessons and at each ability level, only Italian is spoken in class: our teaching method places the emphasis on communication, allowing students to learn Italian naturally, through a study program that combines the development of skills communicative to the deepening of the morphosyntactic structures of the language.

In the second part of the “Gap Year” program, thanks to the linguistic skills achieved, the linguistic horizons will broaden and cultural lessons will also be added to the language lessons.

What is the cultural program about?

History of art: the course is designed to show the development of art in Italy with an introduction to the most important artistic styles. The lessons conclude with two guided tours to admire, live, the concepts learned in class.

Italian for business: the program focuses on the Italian language of business, aiming at providing students with the basic vocabulary and professional expressions that are most often used.

Italian fashion: the course is dedicated to analyze a sector in which the Italian "genius" is combined with the concept of elegance and trend.

Italian civilization and history: this course is designed to provide students with a survey of the most significant moments of the Italian civilization, from its origins to the contemporary world
